EXPLORING THE 6 CITIES OF SCOTLAND
Scotland conjures up many impressive images. One can imagine castles, massive fortresses, and tower houses. In a way, this is true. Visitors can still see the remnants of its turbulent past. 1.) ABERDEEN CITY Often known as “Granite City” because most of its massive buildings are made of glossy granite, Aberdeen City is well-known for its oil industry. People throughout Europe and neighboring countries work and live in this city. They make Aberdeen City their new home. This bustling metropolis has already won several times in “Britain In Bloom”. Aberdeen City boasts of several tourists’ attractions. Its main city street, Union Mile, contains more than 800 shops along its stretch. In its West End lies premiere bars, first-class nightclubs, and disco houses. There are some five-star hotels, too. Most of all, people come to Aberdeen City to bask in its long stretch of golden beaches.
2.) DUNDEE CITY If you want to go shopping, then Dundee City is the place to go. Several nationally renowned shopping centers like Overgate, Wellgate, and Murraygate can be found. You can spend a good time shopping with your family in Dundee City. If you want quality products at bargain prices, then you should try City Quay at Dundee’s waterfront. Dundee City is known for its various cultural offerings. There’s Dundee Rep Theater and Dundee Contemporary Art Center. As Scotland’s 4th largest city, the city boosts of Dundee's Food & Flower Festival, the most festive event throughout Scotland.
3.) EDINBURG CITY As Scotland’s capital, Edinburgh City is the seat to some of world’s leading business corporation. It boosts of world-class festival that attracts people far and wide. Edinburgh City features art galleries, shopping malls, the latest in technological breakthrough, bars, restaurants, and others. Its Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline. It is home to the celebrated Highland Games. Inverness City offers a wide array of shops, restaurant, and cafeterias by the waterfront. It also features pubs and nightclubs. 6.) STIRLING CITY Stirling City is home to Scotland’s historic buildings, formidable castles and massive fortresses. The famous Stirling Castle towers above the city. Its scenic road around the castle, “Back Walk”, offers visitors a good panoramic view of Stirling City’s tumultuous past.
